I have a 2002 Volvo V40. Yesterday, it started blowing hot air only, no matter were the temperature control is set at, and continues to do so even if the AC is on. Sometimes when I start the car it will be cold for a minute or two then resorts back to hot air no matter when the temp control is set. In late July, I had the resistor pack replaced after the blower was stuck on high.
By the way, I previously owned a 2001 V40, and it too was a little erratic with its climate control. Fan speed would fluctuate regardless of where I had the blower set. The 2002 V40 does this sometimes also. Is this a design flaw in the S40/V40 models of this era?
