My moms '01 V40 is experiencing substantial power loss. When the car is in neutral and the engine is revved it will stutter badly. The engine will also just die while driving. Spark plugs are gaped to .030 but have white residue. Exhaust smells sweet.
I really wish I had a code reader! There is also a flashing yellow arrow on the cluster.
Anyone know what could be going on?
I don't know much about modern cars because I have only ever worked on cars from the '70's...
