Default 62 Plate V40 Burning Smell

Occasionally, whilst either idle or driving in slow traffic thereís a strong burning smell comes through the vents inside. The only way to describe it is a burning oil smell.

Iím doing 1000 mile per week and Iíve just had the timing belt, fan belt and water pump replaced so itís not that. But does anyone have any idea what could be causing the smell?

did you check for an exhaust leak? not uncommon for the flex pipe to give out on the 1.9Ts. Any signs of burning oil or loss of coolant? Also check if the turbo oil seal is weepy - any spotting when you park?
