Bodywork issue
Hi All.
I recently noticed a noise from the offside rear wheel area when going over bumps. A couple of attempts to look under the car (I don't have access to a pit or a ramp) and I think I've narrowed it down to an under car shield stretching from just in front of the wheel towards the front of the car. The nearside one is quite solidly in place but the offending one is able to bounce up and down on the stay. It doesn't dandle down.
Has anyone else experienced this? I don't recall running over anything or hearing anything flick up off the road. Any thoughts on if this will be fixable myself of if there is some way to secure it until payday.
Thanks in advance
NeilV

on my 2000 S40 I've had to replace odd bolts that hold on the rocker panel trim as welll as the inner fender well. I have also seen the clips and mounts for the splash cover under the radiator area tear over time - so Ive just made up my own to hold it in place. Not sure if the splash shield is still available for the gen 1s but it should be the same for S and V models. You may want to search a dealer web store to see if you can find a replacement shield and/or new clips
