check engine light

I have v40 Volvo. The check engine light is always on and the dsa light comes on intermittently. When the dsa light comes on the car loses power or hesitates to accelerate. Volvo can't diagnose Ideas?

the dsa is 'traction control' and it works by cutting pwr so that part of your problem seems normal. i believe it just uses the ABS sensors to activate it so weird its trying to work under normal driving.

my guess is that the check eng prob is unrelated but who knows...?
