Default Dashboard Light

How can Ibest remove the panel that houses the heating/cooling controls (3 *****) on the center dash of a V40, without ruining the panel? I need to replace a bulb behind the center (air direction) ****.

I have a 1997 V40. Pull each of the three ***** off one at a time. The panel itself then pulls off but mine was extremely stiff - I had to prise with a screwdriver in the end. If I recall the electrical contacts were only along the bottom of the panel.

Good Luck!

Just done the same to my 2000 v40 and, as previous message, pull off the 3 control ***** and hook your fingers through the control **** holes and behind the heater control panel and with a firm pullthe panel comes out, well mine did anyway. This is themethod as describedfrom the Vardis CD workshop manual. The bulb and holder come as one assembly and also the bulbs are blue in colour.
