Diagnostic Tool for V40 -1998-2005?
Today I performed brake bleeding on my beloved V40-2.0 from 2003. But... then the ABS is NOT bled, right?
I did not find the forum-info I am looking for. Maybe I am using the wrong English search terms?? I am looking for a diagnostic tool for an old style V40 phase III in order to perform bleeding on the ABS. I read that there's VIDA and the VICE unit. But as far as I can see Dice is strictly diagnostic and cannot perform an ABS bleed operation. Which tool do/did/would you use?
Another question that came up to me is this; Why not just flush the ABS, catch the dot4 fluid at every wheel and skip the standard vacuum brake bleeding operations? If I recall correct Haynes says to first perform an ordinary brake bleed and then the ABS. Why a standard vacuum bleed if you bleed all lines anyway in an ABS bleed?? Thanks a lot for your answer!

I use a Top Don ArtiLink 500 on my old V70, paid £40 for it, it's been great to give me codes to mechanic over the phone, asking him "do I need to walk to the shops now?". It also clears messages and codes and live data but it's a bit tricky to navigate through as it's a small screen and uses arrow keys to move through menus.
