Default Fuel Filter

I have a 2001 V40. I have yet to jack up and peer under the car to find out where the fuel filter is located. Can anyone give me some quick hints or tips as to where and any suggestions in changing the filter if they have done this on their car? I know some cars have a finicky set-up and I'm just trying to minimize any headache for what should be a simple preventative maintenance procedure.

The fuel filter is located underneath the car on the left side in front of the rear wheel. It is covered with a plactic plate which is hold in place by push pins (4 as I remember). Pull / pry the center pin out and the whole pin comes out. The connection to the filter is push / pull connectors.

Good luck
