Hello everyone!! Just seeking some thoughts and advice on the following:

• This only happens after we've driven ONCE, if we stop the car and then restart it a few minutes later (REALLY strange).
• When we start it the second time, a warning light comes on (orange/yellow with what looks like a swerving car)
• There is visible shaking to the engine, like it's trying to breathe (i.e. suck petrol/gas) but can't get enough in
• No power to accelerate (really hard to move forward) - have got my foot down to the floor and getting virtually no power
• It gets REALLy hot under the back seat area, way hotter then normal
• Bad smell, like burning plastic... rotten eggs???
• It takes a significant time to gain any speed
• Really bad gas mileage

My husband has worked out that if you play with the accelerator, push it up and down (while driving, since there is no real reve you don't feel it in terms of speed). And sometimes he can push it out of the problem???

We've changed the spark plugs, given an oil change and tune up, cleaned the air filter.

Any thoughts???
