Hi,

my key fob stopped working a few week back, had it sent away. Everything came back all fine. New battery, board check all in working order.

ive been advice to resynchronise the key fob to the car,

does anyone know how to do this??
Can’t find anything in the manual or website

What year? Where did you send the key? Exactly what does not work - the car won't remotely lock and unlock?

yes that correct. Won’t remotely lock n unlock but will start thr car once it is open

 

To get a remote to talk to a car - Requires a download from VIDA. Note item 4 SW. Master key application - that's the software download needed to get a NEW remote to talk to the car. That parts page is for "without keyless entry". With that system the buttons must be pushed on the remote or use the emergency key, to unlock the car. The other style is "with keyless entry" - where if a key is close to a door - pulling the handle will unlock the door. With either system you could have a bad antenna receiver. Or a bad remote. You will need to see a Volvo dealer.
