My volvo is does not run smoothly...
My volvo v40 had some major repairs (radiator, turbo ext.) done to it befor i drove up to my home in alaska from Montana. During last fall i was diving it to and it started to die out on me. It would idle fine, when i gave it a little gas it would die, but when i gassed it to say 3500 rpms it would stay running but when i let off the gas it would die.. So I havent messed with it all winter. And the snow has melted enough to get it out.
So my question is, I have had many people tell me its a sign of a bad catylic converter. But are there other possibilities? I need to get my v40 running because my ridiculous 94 suburban is the most unreasonable vehicle for me and the cost of driving it all winter, is the equivalent of burning your savings account.
Im also new to this Forum, so i might be a retard

Im not able to start the car completely so i do no know if i have a cel on or off because i cant get it started, after it starts running is when it cel stops? Do you know were you plug in the fuel pressure checker?
CEL = Check engine light. You can hook up a code reader and see if there is any codes stored in the computer.
What year is your car? What motor do you have in it?
