Smile new to forums and volvos
just purchased volvo v40 1.8 auto girlfriend took out for a drive and brakes have failed very hard peddle any suggestions please ?

Vacuum leak at the booster would be my first thought after cleaning the seat.
Get thee to a mechanic.
