Hey guys. I got another issue with my car... the oil light comes on when it’s cold and the first couple minutes of when it gets to operating temp. If I hold it at 1,200rpm or more it turns off, I’ve ran 5w-30 and 10w-40, the 10w-40 seems to be better than the 5w oil. Any suggestions?

 

you probably need to drop the oil pan and check if there's any sludge in the pick up and consider a refresh on the oil pump o-rings. As a quick fix you can try doing a Seafoam treatment and refill with full synthetic but my concern is you are risking permanent damage without servicing the pump.
