My check engine light is on and when I read the ODBI code thecode is P1449. The code isn't registered in my unit. Any idea what this code means? I have a 2000 Volvo V40.

 

The only reference to P1449 for a Volvo that I have been able to find was in regard to an 850. The code meant "Diagnostic module tank leakage - pump too high". Unfortunately, no more information was given.

A search on http://www.obd-codes.com/search/?cx=...;sa=Search#471shows BMW have the same code with the same meaning.
