On my Volvo V40 can I change the original size tires 195/60R15 to 205/55R15 without changing the rims? Does anybody have experience?

I'm a new member. I replaced my tire to 205/60 15 with my original wheel. it's stickier than original tire when i purchased the car in new, and the ride is more quiter too. here's the link to calculate the differences between different tires and rims: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
to me, a little bit bigger is actually better.
