Hi,
I'm going to swap a t4 engine into my 1999 volvo v40 1.8i. Will it be hard, are there some parts i can keep or are there some parts I need to replace ?

You will need the full engine wiring harness, the intercooler, probably a new radiator and the new engine complete with all its sensors, ECU etc. Hard is a relative term - do you have skills, tools, time etc? Google around for blogs on swaps and people who have pulled the engine out of the top = unless you have access to a lift where you can drop the engine/trans/subframe down. Best way to do this is by purchasing a donor car but that may not be practical.
