All of it is unleaded.

Performance testing (power and fuel economy) is done with 91 octane. But 87 is the minimum and will not harm anything. There is a nice debate in the XC70 section for more info.

91 octane is the lowest and cheapest at $2.20.9 currently per litre we have here in NZ. Other options are 96 or premium 98.
Its all unleaded petrol here.
I run my V40 on 91 with no problems.

I always run 91 in my 850 GLT because I've heard of nasty things happening with 85 fuel.. However, I think I may have busted a myth.. I was hard on cash and only had 10 bucks to throw in my tank, so I decided to make it count and go 85. I hooked my scanner up (I have a bluetooth ELM327) and ran an app on my droid that would alert me if the car knocked or detected a retard signal from the knock sensor. It seems 85 is no harm for a turbo 850, though I won't vouch for t-5's or cars with higher timing settings.

But there is a near night and day difference between 85 and 91, I can definitely tell you that, mainly because there is less N/A-generated torque and it becomes more reliant on the turbo.
