Bought 2007 1.6D V50. Frame rust, is it normal?
Bought my first Volvo car two month ago. In terms of driving experience, it is quite comfortable, and I love it.
Today, I lifted the car and found actually the frame looks not so good.
I am not sure if these are only the surface rust of frame. Is it the defect for my car, or is it quit normal? Should I complain this to the car dealer that I bought this car from?
In addition,I found there is leakage from a metal pipe. Anyone has a idea where the pipe connected to? is this leakage normal? Is it serious?
Need help, thanks.

I drive in Norway.
The rust of my old 2003 Nissan car is much less than this one. I think the car should have enough corrosion protection under Norway whether condition.
Do you think the frame is still healthy?
Or do you think the car before I bought is badly maintained?

That car has certainly seen a lot of salt, as difflock54 said. I would take it to someone local for an evaluation. I would also look under the tail gate gasket (it comes off easily) for rust there. Likewise, are the bottom door seams clear of rust? How about the body in general?
I would guess that a power wash followed by a professional rustproofing (making sure to keep drainage holes clear) would extend your car's life. That will also give you a chance to monitor that oil leak in the last photo.

Maybe a rust neutraliser coating and possibly a localised sand blast of the worst affected members prior to application of a good rust proofing system can be achieved?
It will get worse rather quickly if it is not attended to smartly.
