Broken vvt while trying to remove
I have a 2006 Volvo v50 2.4i automatic, and was trying to change the vvt on the top of the engine and it broke. Is there an easy way to remove the lower half from the engine block? I have seen a video online where they have threaded a bolt into the broken piece and used a slide hammer to remove it. Would anyone know what size bolt will go into the solonoid or if there is a better way to remove it without disassembling the engine itself. My son has the car right now and I would rather him not do the big job if possible.
