Hello All, New Forum member and first writing-

Any Help would be appreciated. So my wife's 2005 Volvo V50 2.4i just dies on Rabbit Ears Pass last weekend, local mechanic replaced the coolant reservoir after this had cracked. Once completed he reported he is unable to do the work the car needs, head gasket and potential piston damage - inside the motor. I am not certain of car value, but the cost to repair all this, not to mention getting the car back to Denver will be very costly and I wonder if you all have any ideas / advice, or know of anyone in Denver area that may pay us decent or well to fix the car themselves and roll it..... after engine work. It is a real bummer and while we've been happy with the car, this year many problems were creeping up at 140 K, while I expected to get to 220 at least before we had any such issues.
