Lowering springs.
Hello everyone.
Im looking at lowering my V50 and putting some nicer 18 alloys on.Has anyone on here lowered theirs.I've seen some springs for £130 and they lower the car about 35cm and apparently they work fine with the stock shocks does anyone know if this is true from experience. If anyone has done this has it made much difference to the ride comfort?Any help or advise would be great because if it looks really nice lowered with the 17's then it will save me a lot of money on purchasing the 18" wheels.
Thanks guys.

I put H & R Springs to lower my 2000 S80 T-6 1.4 inches front and back and installed using the stock rear shocks. BIG MISTAKE. The shocks completely lost all fluid about 2 weeks after lowering the car. I ordered Bilstein B8 Sports shocks for ride lowered cars and have a beautiful ride now. Before with stock shocks it was awful and embarrassing to drive over 50 miles an hour as the rear end would jut up and down as if it were a bucking bronco. Advice...always do a job right the first time. Stock suspensions do not like to be lowered so replace your struts, shocks and anything else that seems worn before you lower your car. I still have the stock struts on the front and they fight the lowering springs, but not as noticeable as the rear shocks did. They are new had to replace them when I got the car due to a small accident from a previous owner.
I have a set of springs that came with the Heico package I have on my V50 T5 AWD. they lower the car by about 1.5 inches.
Have not installed them due to the amount of snow we get here in Montreal.
You could look into Heico in europe for the same springs.
