Question New owner of V50

I just purchased a V50, 2006 with 29,000 miles. No turbo. Front-wheel drive automatic. Any advice or warnings? I am excited to get the car. I really needed another ride since my Mercedes 300D was demolished in an accident two weeks ago. I hope the V50 gives me the same hard-working reliability as the old MB diesel. I am sure it will have more pep.

Enjoy. I really like my V50. There are a few things, as with most cars, that you should watch out for.

1) crank case breather box tends to go bad and make horrible noises. Volvo extended the warranty for this item.

2) climate control servos can get out of sysc and cause one side to be cold and the other hot. This is a trip to Volvo service for a software load.

Enjoy
Stan
