So my granddads "project car" isn't not starting no matter what we try the ECU isn't responding except for some stuff their doesnt seem to be a cable being broken from the OBD port or anywhere else from my understanding of it. It's cranking and getting diesel from my understandning of it again but still isn't starting and is missing a big chrome pipe below the engine cover and canister if you can call it that behind the engine (look at pictures below)
Any answers are appreciated or theories. Some info on the previous owner is a guy who did some DIY tuning which i didn't know until now so it's completely possible he bricked the car/ECU and we're going to check the diesel filter incase it's filled with water or something else.
Chrome pipe should be entering the intake behind the throttle body "canister" should be behind here
