I have a 2006 V50. My check engine light came on and my OBDII computer gave me these two codes:

P0172 - System to Rich Bank 1
P0026 - Intake Valve Bank 1 Control Sol Ckt Rng Perform

I found the P0172 code on the forum, but didn't see anyone with the P0026 code.

Anyone had both these problems before?

 

Same car same codes plus Po420... What did you end up doing about your 2 codes Haynes where do I start please any help would be appreciated..thanx And God Bless Chas

 

On my car, '06 V50 2.4i, I only got the P0026. I replaced the Intake VVT solenoid. I'd ordered it from volvopartslisle(cheapest OEM place I found). Very easy to replace.

 

Cheaper than Rock auto .com?

 

I went with OEM for the solenoid. OEM Volvo pn-36002687-6, sealing o-ring pn-30640846-9. core for the solenoid is $25. Besides, I didn't see it on Rock Auto's site when shopping for it. While you're at it, check your oil filler cap sealing o-ring, mine was as stiff as plastic. I got it from voluparts, OEM Volvo, for $2.50.
