Question V50 Wing Mirror cover

Just went to my car (2008 model) which is parked down the road, only to discover that some kind person has removed my offside mirror cover. (probably going to restore it for me NOT). I have found some after market covers but they either say 'to 2007 or 2010 - 2012). I cannot seem to find a cover for the 2008 one (it's the new model). Does anyone have any advice for me? I could really do with a black one but a primed one would do as I have a can of the correct colour black. As a matter of interest, do they just clip on? If so, when I eventually get one I will glue it on.

Thanks

Brian

There seem to be a lot of aftermarket covers available for the 2007-8 models (looks like almost all the Volvo cars use the same covers). I found a boatload on eBay, for example.

It look like there is a serial number break - provide the last 6 and your paint code and the part number might appear.

Volvo sells them prepainted (or primed). Partial list attached for early cars.

Couldn't find one anywhere for my car so had to go down the Volvo route. Ordered one from Volvo Carlisle at just under £100 (cough) free postage though LOL. Unbelievable price but at least it comes in black! Not sure how they fit, probably just push on? I am definitely going to put some superglue on both mirror backs.

Unbelievably, I went to the car this morning and the cover was sitting on the floor beside the car. It looks as if (speculation) that someone nicked it, found that it didn't fit, then had the good grace to put it back. Whew, that saved me nearly £100. Edit: Just had a closer look, It wasn't stolen, the car was hit by another vehicle and left white paint down the side, knocked the cover off, someone found it and put it by the side of the car. Phew again.
