wagon door won't open
I have a 2005 V50 and the wagon door will not open. When I unlock the doors I don't hear the mechanism on the wagon door make any sound. I've also pressed the wagon door button on the key fob and nothing happens there except the exterior lights blinking, so I know the button on the key fob is at least communicating with the vehicle. Also, the interior rear ceiling light just inside the wagon door also does not light. I checked the bulb and although the glass is a bit discolored, the filament did not appear separated or burnt out. I'm wondering if it could be a fuse causing the problem, but the owners manual did not point to any numbered fuse specificially for either of those issues (that I found - maybe I'm not reading it correctly).
Any advice/help would be appreciated.

Have you tried to unlock it with the key on the outside? The outside latch on most Volvo's have a setting that kinda double locks it so the remote or latch will not unlock it. You have to use the key.
Mine did this before. The rubber gasket around the release "button" tends to work its way in and prevents the button from being fully depressed. If you press really hard it may work or remove the switch and reset the gasket.
The other possibility is that you are in valet mode (glove box locked).
