Hi! I cannot get the fuel tank door / filler door open, with the remote switch or otherwise. I have the interior door trim apart, and the green plug in the door is properly attached to the toggle switch. The other switch at the same location - the remote hatch unlocking switch - is working. I checked the fuses in the main fuse box, and they are all still good.

Any thoughts on this one? Is there a manual release for this door? Thanks!!!

 

There should be a pull wire to release it.
But not all have them. You might have to use a small screw driver to move the motor.

 

Thanks for the quick reply. There was no pull wire, but with a screwdriver and some luck, I was able to get the door open and the motor out. I guess I'll call the dealer tomorrow to order the part. Thanks again!

Tech, it turns out that it was not the fuel filler door motor/solenoid. I have the driver'sdoor window switch assembly out of the car. Could thefact that it is not plugged in have any effect on the fuel door not working? It appears that when it is out,all the other window switches don't work.Thanks.

 

I learned the "hard way" that if you take out the driver's door switch, it cuts out the power to the fuel filler door.
