Default Where is AC high pressure valve

Ok where have the hid it? My AC is acting up and I wanted to hook up my manifold gauges and check pressures. Never worked on the 2007 V50 AC system and I can not find the darn high side valve.

Where have they put it?

What I really think is happening is the AC clutch gap is to big...maybe. I start the car, sit in the car and it is blowing 40-ish. I turn off the AC and it won't come back on again. It is 90F outside and the car was driven a lot today so it is hot under the hood.

The car has about 110,000 on it. The AC clutch on the 2005 S60 we owned lasted a lot longer.

So I am thinking that I don't want to do the clip fix, I don't want to spend $800 on a new AC. The timing belt is due in about 12,000 miles so I would also do the serpentine belt, all new pulleys, water-pump, etc. Add it all up and ya got a few thousand dollars that this car will need. Maybe it is time to shop. After doing away with my Jag I promised myself I won't have cars with todo lists.

Under the plastic cover between the headlights when you pop the hood. I agree, It's probably the compressor clutch. Very common.

Thanks.

Because of the way it is acting it is probably is the clutch. If I were more motivated I'd pop off the wheel well cover and do the AC unit myself but my motivation is getting less each year.

In three years both my Volvos needed a new clutch. I've never had a clutch go out on any of my other cars and I'm wondering if it is a Volvo AC thing?

I know that clutches do go out but in my 65 years on this earth the only clutches to go bad were my two Volvos.
