2009 Volvo s40 AC
Hi, I am trying to find some answers on my AC unit in my car. When I start my car, turn the AC i have no issues, but after awhile the cold AC becomes hot, then I turn the AC off, turn it back on and sometimes it kicks back on sometimes it doesn't. any ideas what I can do?

Sounds like the AC clutch gap problem. what happens is when the AC clutch gap is too large, as the clutch heats up, the magnetic strength diminishes and it can't lock down. typically this happens when the gap is larger than .8mm. reshim to close the gap down to .3 or .4 and it will start working full time.
You need to reshim the A/C compressor clutch as mt6127 said: https://volvoforums.com/forum/volvo-...shimming-6665/
