55K is pretty much oil change only.

The Major services are every 30k

R/R just infront of the tire. Like right under the R/R door.

All easy enough to do by yourself. The fuel filter is the hardest part unless you have access to a lift and even then it isn't so bad. The volvos have a goofy little pressure fitting on the fuel lines you need to compress. Oil and filter is fifteen minutes and you can change the cabin filter while the oil drains. Plugs and coolant are also easy. Is half an afternoon of your labor worth saving over 800?

I am sure they have a tool for compressing the fittings. I just used my hands and pulled the nipple end back. It will release itself. Once you get that far, you will understand. The fuel filter is held in by some other crap that you need to remove and loosen. It is no big deal either. The whole thing took about 20 minutes. Make sure you have a pan to collect the gas that is in the filter. If i remember correctly, this whole process will cost you less than 100.

There it 2 tabs 1 on each side of the Line at the filter push both in by finger and pull and it will come apart.
