I have a 00' v70 xc, the cooling fan will not kick on automatically, I have replaced the fan/motor and a thermostat.....the fan does work when I turn on the AC but then the AC will eventually blow hot air and the car overheats. The temp. gauge never goes above half way but the overflow keeps boiling over. Can anyone please help!!!

Thanks,

David

Maybe the coolant temp sensor is bad.

did you get your car fixed?
I am having the exact same problem! just discovered today. I am planning on see if my fan will run if I send 12 volts directly to it.

did you try the temp sensor? any luck?

thanks!

Same problem, radiator fan not starting
Hello, I also have this problem on my new shape 2001 V70, no radiator fan running, even when air con is on.

Did anybody ever solve this problem?

Mt car gets VERY hot if I drive it four miles and NO OIL PRESSURE warning message is displayed. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Did you resolve this problem?
This is a common problem and I was wondering if you had been successful in fixing it. Many would benefit.

Was the question about the cooling fan or the low oil pressure?

Both types of fan Classic two speed and later variable speed are easily tested.

I think we could have a forum just dedicated to V70 low oil pressure. I have two with low oil pressure- one I hope is fixed and will rad test tomorrow.
