'06 V70 2.5t Runs rough on start-up
2006 Volvo v70 2.5t
At start-up, typically when it has sat overnight or most of the day the Volvo runs rough (as if the timing is off) for about 30 seconds, then smooths out and runs fine. No problems with power after and it does not occur again until it is start again after sitting for a time. Mechanic had it overnight and said it ran great when they started it up. It threw a few codes 1. mass airflow sensor reading as bad (was replaced 4 months ago) 2. Variable Valve Timing Solenoid on exhaust is bad (mechanic noted it looked as if it had been replaced) 3. Purge solenoid has a leak.
The car is running find other than the unnerving first 30 seconds of running rough. My 16 year old daughter drives this and I want to be confident in it. Do any of you have insights as to what may be the problem, or where to look?
*note all coil packs are new as are spark plugs and wires.

any smoke or any other symptoms? I'd be inclined to think fuel over spark here (ie leaky injector or low fuel pressure on start up, possibly a vacuum or intake air leak (probably would need a smoke test but you can try a visual inspect or spray carb cleaner around as a quick test) or possibly the engine coolant temp sensor is a bit off.
