08 V-70 cargo light does not turn off

08 V-70 cargo light does not turn off
I just bought an 08 V-70 and cannot seem to turn off the cargo light or tail lights. I often need to leave the hatch open for extended periods. It was easy in my 2000 xc70. Can anyone help?
