Hi All,

I just bought a 1998 V70 GLT. It came with one key and no FOBs.

I think the 1998s were the last years that didn't have a chip in the key, but I still need to make a copy or two of my key for a backup. Is this something I have to go to a dealer to get?

Also, did 1998 GLTs come standard with FOBs? If not how can I check if this car came with one? If I am missing FOBs how can I get a replacement?

You can get keys from any dealer in the USA. Just contact them and provide them with proof of ownership and they will ship you keys.

I'm pretty sure all S70's in the USA came with remotes. You can get them anywhere but I think the stealer has to program them.
