My V70 has developed an intermittent fault.

On two occasions the engine refuses to run. It starts at the flick of the key revs to about 1500rpm and then shuts down. This can be repeated many times then suddenly for no apparent reason it starts and runs perfectly!

Can anybody offer any possible solutions.

Could possibly be an imobilizer problem.Are there any other problems that happen at the same time?Check the red light on top of the dashboard and see if it flashes when you have the problem.
