1999 Volvo V70 - Broken Mirror Advice
I have a broken passenger side mirror on my car. The only part that's broken is the actual glass part, the rest of the mirror is completely okay including the plastic bracket the mirror/glass attaches to. I was looking at a replacement mirror, but they are pretty pricey $65. (Volvo Right Outside Mirror Glass (850 C70 S70 V70) Genuine Volvo - 9171315 | FCP Euro)
I see that Ebay sells just the glass part for these for only $15 and includes adhesive pads to stick back on the plastic bracket. For the installation, I could just remove the broken glass from the plastic bracket and put in the new glass to save some money because the bracket itself is not broken. I was wondering if anyone has had success with these ebay replacement mirrors, or should I just bite the bullet and buy the OEM replacement for $65?
Thanks in advance!
