Hello Forum,

Periodicly the dash indicates winter mode (arrow), BRAKE, and ABS light's simaultaniously and tranny operates as if in winter mode. Then after a while it goes away. I don't even know where to start or what to look for. If anyoune has experianced this or have any suggestions, please drop me a line, (my wife is starting to eyeball my s80)

Hello, You description exactly matches that of a failed ABS unit. Search "ABS Rebuild" for Victor Rocha's (sp?) e-mail address. Get an E5 Torx socket and remove the ABS control unit from below. The car can be driven without it. You simply won't have ABS. Send it to Victor for a rebuild. You can feel around the circuits yourself and find cold or broken solder joints but I've heard Victor replaces several components. CHEERS, Kira
