Just picked up a '01 V70 5-T w/ 106K. The engine rpm's vary by 150 or so at idle. Timing belt replaced at 102K. I just installed new plugs today. Smoothed out the idle for the most part, but there is still a stutter when idling. When I turn off the AC, idle is perfect. AC on, idle rough. Is this an alternator issue? I've been searching for a while now and can't seem to find anything linking the AC and idle issues. I will clean the Throttle Body this weekend. Nice site. TIA.

 

Throttle Body cleaned. Idle fixed. I was amazed that that much contamination was built up in the bore. Took about 3hrs to get this done. Now that I know how to do it, the next time should be half as long. Silly location for the ETM.
