Default 2002 abs

So I am having the typical abs module problems,
I checked with Victor, he cant fix it. I find an ebay auction by bba-reman, and according to the auction they can fix modules v70 1998-2002.
Any way i pull it out, box it and ship it, ... a few days later I get the module back untouched with a pay-pal refund. <- thanks bba for being honest. The module is too new, they cant fix it.

Anyway Im back at where I started, I have a broken module in my hand. I don't want to install a broken one back in, since it is pointless. So what are my options right now?

A)Who rebuilds them?
B)Junk Yard and reprogram ... is this difficult /expensive
C)will the dealership rebuild it or will the want me to buy a new one ?
D)None of the above?

thanks for any input
Matthew

I can pretty much garantee that volvo dealership will not rebuild yours. They want to sell you a new one. As for a junk yard one I recomend calling the service dept at your volvo dealership first. I just bought an ebay etm and thought it could be reprogrammed for $100 or so at the dealership. The service tech tells me he doesn't think they can be reprogrammed. So do I waste $100 on what they don't think will work? I've already rebuilt the old one using newer parts and so far works perfect. 175k miles and my etm has a white sticker on it, ha. I'm not sure the abs would need to be programed though, you can ask the service tech. You can always try a junk yard one and then bring it back if it doesn't work, I don't think they have a way to check if they are good or not for a part like that.

update

I went to the dealership,

its 150 to reprogram, it is a must if your installing a new/used module

between 750 and 1000 for the module new depending on options

750 for a rebuilt unit

hmmmm, i have to find a different option
