Default 2004 V70 two small problems

OK I have two small problems that someone might have seen before.

1st I have an intermittent issue with the remote volume/station controls. 50% of the time I start the car they don't work. The other 50% of the time works like a champ. The ignition switch (plug in module not the keyed part) was replaced just prior to my purchase so I can't say if it worked prior. I don't notice anything special that causes it not to work. Sometimes it resumes working the next time the car starts and some times it does not work through 5 to6 starts. Suggestions?

2nd If I am going down the road at about 45 mph with the sunroof open and I roll down the window the sunroof starts to ossolate and the sound is unreal (like I am sitting in front of a huge woofer). If I roll, or crack another window it stops. Again Suggestions?

Can't help with your first problem, but the second one is the result of a resonant frequency when you open the windows as described. The fix is just as you mentioned...open the window a little more and avoid the buffeting. Nothing wrong with your car, and the phenomenon isn't limited to Volvos.

You are right Goldman. Even in my wife E 240 Mercedes Benz if she opens the sunroof and the windows are closed one can hear an abnormal sound inside the cabin. I think this shows the compaction and sealing of car. Volvo is also famous for its sound effect. Meaning the doors and other body parts are so nicely sealed that hardly any air or sound can pass through them.
So we also have to open a window to avoid the buffeting.......
