Default 98 v-70

Picked up a used v-70 about 3 months ago from a dealer here in Toronto.
For the most part the experience has been OK.

However, because prior to this I had a 92 GMC Safari van with 300,000 km and a litany of problems,
perhaps that is why this car seems a joy comparitively.

Before I bought the car, I had a few things repaired at the dealer expense;

One of those items was the rear main seal. I had noticed it leaking in the showroom and
looked underneath. I had been reading these forums so I insisted the leak be reapired which
it has.

The car also required new brake pads and rotors on the front to pass inspection.
They unfortunately squeal from time to time.

The dashboard though is the most annoying thing so far as it sqeaks constantly!
Any remedies for this??

There is also a low speed clunking that occurs while going over bumps. sounds like it coming from the
left front, I have not had that investigated as yet.

Seat warmers are popular with guests, although I don't really think them a big deal yet. Although It has not
been as cold as it will be, perhaps then I'll change my mind.

Going to look for snow tires tonight, looking at TOYOS or Blizzaks....T.

The dash squeek might be the dash mounting points broke. Try carefully pulling on the dash and pushing and see if it feels tight.

The noise over the bumps are either the upper spring seat or the sway bar link.
