I just bought a 98 V70 cc. For 8900.00 .The car has 53 K on it. The Car Fax checked out with the service done in the owners manual. Under the engine it is dry with no leaks. I had to buy it. It runs like a dream. I know that the service on the car can be quitecostly.When should I put a new Timimg belt on ? Or any other service tips will be greatly appreciated ?

Hi JP, The timing belt should be replaced at 105,000. Look thru the 'Warranty and service record information' manual for suggested maintainance. Nice by, Eric J

 

I don't know about the XC, but the 98 V70 interval for timing belt is 70K or 5,000 miles whichever comes first. If it has not had the belt changed I would have it done. The car is 10 years old.
