Got a 98 v70 with a speedo not functioning, also shop says ECT sensor faulty. Also Signal lights won't cancel when turning back to straight, maybe just lube issue?
The Thermostat is stuck open, will that affect ECT function?
Shop mentioned different chips for speedo function, what else could be wrong if chips are good? Volvo wants 1800 to replace speedo unit!! Any help appreciated.

Yes the thermostat can throw that code.

Maybe the ABS module is bad causing the speedo to be dead.

 

Thanks Tech for the reply, would the ABS module give any other indications of faultiness along with the dead speedo?

 

ABS light on and tracs off light if you have tracs.
