98 V70 xc awd with 165k Questions

Went to the dealer finally after pulling evap codes / check engine light.
Good news: they said it was in great shape and seemed almost suprised that it ran so well. I assume because it has165k miles. Commented that engine seemed great and suspension was great.
Bad news: Adjusted gas cap seal, then followed leak back to hose over wheel well. Said they believed that was the issue but couldn't be sure until they fixed it and then there might be another leak elsewhere? Does that sound correct for this system? And The Really bad news. They bid $400 to fix.Does that sound in the right ballpark?
My additional questions.
What sort of mileage are people seeing out of this engine and drivetrain?
What other usual and expected big $$ failures should I expect from this platform?
Timing every 70k is not what I'm talking about, but other expected replacements and failures on this platform with this mileage.
Thnx
