Need some help.The rear hatch started sticking a year ago.So I would push in a little while pulling up the lever .It would open.Now nothing.Even the rear latch inside the car won't work.I got the back panel off.But now I'm stuck.The power lock will go up and down.Is there a over ride any where to open it ? I know I'm going to need a new lock assembly.

I got the old lock assembly out.Just like you said" push the lever at the bottom.Click opened".Now would you have any help in getting a new one ? My local Volvo dealer wants 157.00 for a new one.I haven't found one online.

It comes as one piece and drops in pretty easy.

 

Good news
I went to a pull your own part junk yard.I got the lock assembly for $6.00.I took it it off a later 850.I also used the levers from the 850.My V70 levers were bent a little different The funny thing is that the one that was in the 850 is all metal.My V70 the lock is plastic.
