For no reason, the hatch on my 1999 V70 wagon won't open. I tried the remote key buttons, read the manual, used the door button, etc. I see the lock plunger go up and down, I feel the latch mechanically working but that latch is not opening. I have no interior opening mechanism. There is no key hole on the exterior door (just a plastic plug). Any advice would be very welcome.

 

There should be a lock cylinder under the Flap in the Hatch.

If nothing else you will have to pop the panel off and get it open from there and inspect.
