Bad V70

Bad V70
A customer of mine bought a 1998 Volvo V70 about 2 years ago and I have been doing all the repairs and maint on this vehicle. Being a used car, I went through it and found problems with brakes, suspension, etc and we got them all fixed up. The first major problem was when the customer called me from 600 miles away telling me the car is missing and CEL is blinking. I told him to get that car to a shop, but he insisted that he drive all the way back home for me to work on it. Well, when he returned, I found the distributor cap was cracked causing the missfire, but since he decided to drive all the way home like that, he burned out the exhaust valves on 2 cylinders which in turn, became a very expensive repair.
All was well until winter. The secondary air injection pump failed and that was another expensive repair due to parts prices for the pump and valve. Then they put the car into a ditch and caused more expensive repairs to the front end.
Two weeks later, the customer hit something metal on the interstate and the car got loud. I found the cat pipe broken right off. A new cat was very expensive, so I welded it back together for them and it has been holding up well.
Recently the car started leaking oil and I quoted them repairs for the oil trap and associated hoses. I wanted to get that all fixed up for them and now they want to get rid of it.
They called me the next day and ended up buying a 2008 XC70 Cross Country. I want to ask them what they are doing with the 1998 V70 since it's still at the shop and they did not trade it in. If I am lucky, I might buy it from them and fix it. Don't know if I will keep it or not since I like my small cars, but if I end up buying it, I will let you know.
