Bad switch or bad window (or neither)

Bad switch or bad window (or neither)
On my 2002 S40, I noticed that when I use my auto down for my drivers window that when it reaches the bottom, the windowof course stops but the motor is still clicking and trying to work until I tap the switch up. Then, when I go to roll up the window, it does the same thing. When it reaches the top, the window stops but the motor keeps clicking until I release it. I'm pretty certain it didn't used to do this. Is that the switch, the window itself or is there some setting I can adjust or something?

RE: Bad switch or bad window (or neither)
The jumping tells me that it is the regulator.
Because in the middle of the gear there is like a rubber it is a protective measure so this way if someones had or something like that gets stuck while going up it should break teh regulator before an arm.
If you take it out and remove the metal cap and look inside at the gear you should be able to see if broke.
