Default Ball Joint Need Replaced? Photo Attached

I heard a popping coming from the passenger side front, so I investigated tonight. I think the problem was loose lug nuts from a weekend oil change. So I think problem solved. But while I had the wheel off I was snooping around and saw the shiny exposed metal (see photo). Is this cause for concern?

Not a ball joint here, just a bushing. There's another on the rear of the A arm. The other side is in the same shape. You can replace just the bushings as I did or you can purchase a complete A arm assembly. Also check your sway bar links, they may be making a clicking noise also.
