battery corrosion so bad Im in trouble
I have a 2001 V 70 2.4T
Issue: battery has corrosion so bad the terminal post and connecting wire have been dissolved.
Questions: What are the pit falls of driving the car, if the car starts then while in operation the battery wire comes completly loose??
Do I have to replace the entire harness or can I repair just the corroded end?
Would this issue effect things such as: windows opening and closing without cause, door locks no opening, AC now blowing cold air, Brake lights flickering? <------just wondering about these as they are additional issues with my V 70.
Thanks in advance for any and all thoughts

First things first
Hello, You didn't say which cable it was, positive or negative. If one is that bad can the other be much different? Any weak connection on a car's battery cables can and frequently does lead to spotty operation. You're effecting every circuit in the car. That goes double for anything which takes positioning data from a processor, aka computer. No, you won't have to replace any entire harness. Do not put this "little" job off. Remember to use anti corrosion spray, grease or petroleum jelly on your clean posts and the insides of your clean clamps when you install the new stuff. What you describe can be compared to someone standing on the side of your neck while wearing ice skates. Kira
